If you’ve ever dreamed of a romantic outdoor wedding in Nebraska with golden fall light, emotional moments, and your favorite people surrounding you, Mr. and Mrs. McWilliams’ wedding day at Seven Willows in Hickman was exactly that.


Seven Willows is one of those Midwest wedding venues that feels peaceful, elegant, and timeless all at once. Tucked just outside of Lincoln, it offers wide open skies, beautiful grounds, and the perfect setting for couples who want an intimate, heartfelt wedding day that still feels elevated and stunning.

Whitney and her now-husband chose to share a first look before their ceremony, and it was such a sweet, emotional moment. These two had a quiet second together to soak it all in before the day truly began — the nerves, the excitement, and that “we’re about to get married” kind of joy that makes first looks so special. It’s one of my favorite parts of a wedding day to photograph, and theirs did not disappoint.


Their outdoor ceremony took place surrounded by Whitney’s family and their closest friends, creating such a warm, intimate atmosphere. You could feel how deeply loved and supported they are, and there’s something so beautiful about exchanging vows with the people who mean the most to you standing just a few feet away. It was the kind of ceremony that had everyone smiling, tearing up, and fully present in the moment.


Every detail of the day came together perfectly. The florals by Ethereal Floral Studio added the dreamiest romantic touch, Whitney’s gown from For The One Bridal was absolutely stunning, and the energy from DJ Romeo kept the celebration fun and full of life. From the emotional first look to the laughter-filled moments with family, the entire day felt like the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple — genuine, joyful, and so in love.

As a Nebraska wedding photographer, days like this are exactly why I do what I do. Outdoor weddings, meaningful moments, beautiful light, and couples who truly soak in every second — it doesn’t get better than that.
