A Stormy + Romantic West Shores Wedding

Aidan and Maddie’s May wedding at A View at West Shores in Waterloo, Nebraska, was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the energy was electric, and the backdrop—Nebraska skies doing their dramatic thing—made every photo pop with personality.


One of my favorite moments from the day was photographing the couple in front of Maddie’s grandpa’s classic car. The soft light reflecting off the car’s chrome details paired perfectly with the bride’s elegant gown from @rhylanlangbridal and the lush blooms from @hyvee.


Their outdoor ceremony took a wild turn when storm clouds rolled in, the wind picked up, and their floral arches came crashing down. But Maddie and Aidan? They didn’t flinch. They laughed, held hands, and said “I do” with the most epic storm backdrop you could ask for. It’s those moments—the perfectly imperfect—that tell the real story of a wedding day.
